Beginning March 1, 2021, all New York City construction workers will be required to have a Site Safety Training (SST) card to continue to work.

Put simply, SST=Work.

There are various ways that you can earn your SST card between now and March 1, as laid out on the NYC.gov SST card page— https://www1.nyc.gov/site/buildings/safety/sst-worker-information.page —but the easiest way to do so is to utilize Option 1:

  • Take a 30-Hour OSHA class;
  • Take an 8-Hour Fall Prevention class; and
  • Take a 2-Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness class.

All of these classes are currently being offered by the Mason Tenders Training Fund— www.mttf.org —and we urge you to sign up to take them as soon as you’re able so you can continue working past March 1, 2021.

Together, we can continue to build New York safely and UNION!
